Medicall is the business that provides the safeTwear product and 24hr monitoring and response service.
SafeTwear is the go anywhere personal safety device with 4G network connectivity, accurate GPS and two-way communication through a built in speaker and microphone. It’s easy to operate with Voice prompts that advise you when the alarm has been activated, when the battery is low, and more.
Pressing the SOS button immediately messages our 24/7 Call Centre your GPS location on Google Maps and brings up your personal and medical details, so our safeTcare operators have all the information they need to assist you in any circumstance.
This happens in a matter of seconds and, once completed the device then calls our response team, who are now fully informed of your details. So even if you can’t help yourself out, our response team can.
The SOS button is recessed and must be held for a couple of seconds to activate the alarm, so it is difficult to accidently set off the alarm.
If the alarm is activated by the SOS button, or the fall alarm is activated by the pendant being dropped, the voice prompt will advise that “The alarm has been activated – press SOS to cancel” three times. During this time pressing the SOS button will cancel the alarm.
If safeTwear does connect to our Response Centre and it is a false alarm, please advise the operator that you are okay and it is a false alarm, and we will take no action.
Please do not fear accidentally activating your system as A FALSE ALARM IS A GOOD ALARM.
Medicall Global Health Alarms will send your goods Express Post via Australia Post which takes 3 to 5 business days to deliver to most parts of Australia.
We endeavour to send every order the next business day after we have received the complete information from you in order to program the system.
After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation containing your order details (if you have provided your email address). This will typically arrive within a few minutes of ordering. A tracking number will be supplied via email upon dispatch of your system. If no-one is at the delivery address at the time a card will be left in the letterbox. The parcel will be then made available for collection at the local post office.

Your safeTwear system comes fully programmed and ready to use straight from the box.
It is as simple as plugging in the power lead and putting the device onto charge. Once the safeTwear voice prompt announces “Your alarm is charging” it is on, and ready to use. Simple and easy to follow instructions are provided.
The safeTwear Pendant has a built-in fall detection feature that will detect a very heavy fall – the kind of fall likely to result in unconsciousness.
If a fall is detected and even if you can’t push the button, our AutoAlert systems may identify the fall and instantly alert your contacts.
For example: Substantial falls such as trips and fainting/passing out. Any sort of fall or impact resulting with a sudden stop. When it detects a fall, the pendant will say “Fall alert has been activated press SOS to cancel” to let you know it is activated. This allows you time to cancel the alarm if it is accidental (e.g. dropped). Once the device has said this 3 times it will automatically connect to our safeTcare team.
NOTE: Fall detection will not activate unless it experiences an impact (sudden stop). It has been designed to activate with falls of more than 50 centimetres from vertical before impact occurs. Minor falls like sliding down a wall or slumping into a chair are unlikely to activate fall detection, however in that situation the wearer of the alarm can activate the alarm by pressing the SOS button. Fall detection is not perfect but can be tailored to everyone’s needs. It is particularly good and activates over 95% of the time in falls of more than 50cm from the ground providing added assurance over having a system without fall detection.
If you fall and an alarm is activated safeTwear uses GPS to get your location and sends it to our call centre along with the alarm type (Fall or SOS). This incoming information is displayed on our computer screens, along with your emergency data. The device then makes the call to the Response Centre, so when answered our operator knows where you are and who you are, plus any critical information that can help save your life. If you do not respond we will send an ambulance, ensuring you get help quickly even if you can’t help yourself.
Yes. The Fall Detection feature is optional and is on by default. We can turn it off in the initial setup but advise that you keep it on as it provides added assurance over having a system without fall detection.
The Two way speaker works in a couple of ways
1. When the alarm is sent it allows you and our team to speak with you hands free.
2. It allows family and friends to contact you (and talk just like a mobile phone) however you need to share the mobile number with them. Only people you share the number with will be able to call you.
Yes. The pendant will talk to you in various situations but the two most common are:
- Telling you the battery is low
- Telling you the battery is charging
- Telling you the alarm has been activated and help is being called
- The two way speaker is also used when the alarm is activated and allows you to speak with our response team.
Yes, it is easy to wear as it comes with both a safety lanyard, belt clip and a wrist band. These options make sure you can choose a comfortable way to always have safeTwear with you.
Ideally you should wear it all the time as you never know when you might need it.
For absolute discretion or when dressing up you can even pin it under your clothes.
